Home theater installation in Bangalore

Home theater design, installation, and acoustic treatment in Bangalore. Polk, KEF, Definitive Technology, Revel, Triad, Episode, and Klipsch speakers. Full or modular acoustic treatment, room-matched design.

Typical duration: Living-room theater in 2-3 days; a dedicated room with full acoustic treatment in 2-3 weeks

TL;DR. Home theater design, installation, and acoustic treatment in Bangalore. We install Polk, KEF, Definitive Technology, Revel, Triad, Episode, and Klipsch — chosen to match your room, not the dealer margin. Full acoustic treatment for dedicated rooms (₹5-6 lakhs for a 200-300 sqft room), modular panels for living-room theaters (₹2-3 lakhs). Every project starts with a room assessment and documented design. 1-year warranty.

A home theater is the one installation where the room matters as much as the equipment. Homezee designs, installs, and acoustically treats home theaters across Bangalore — dedicated rooms and living-room setups — with a speaker roster that no volume contractor in the city carries, and an honest position on what the room itself contributes.

What a home theater install includes

A Homezee home theater project is a designed system: a room assessment and acoustic measurement, a speaker selection and placement plan matched to your room dimensions, the AV equipment itself (speakers, AV receiver, projector and screen or a large display), acoustic treatment, and final calibration. The design phase is where the performance is decided — speaker placement and room treatment determine far more of the final sound than the price of the speakers.

Speaker brands we install

We install seven brands, each at a different price point and tonal character:

Polk and Klipsch — workhorse brands at moderate price tiers, excellent for a first serious home theater.

Definitive Technology and Episode — strong mid-range performance with good in-wall and architectural options for clean installs.

KEF — neutral, detailed presentation, a popular choice for rooms used for both music and movies.

Triad — a premium custom-install brand, excellent for dedicated theater rooms.

Revel — reference-grade, for customers building a serious system where the room and treatment justify it.

We choose the brand based on your room dimensions, acoustic conditions, and what you actually watch and listen to — movies, cricket, gaming, music — not based on which brand pays the highest dealer margin. The recommendation comes at the site visit, after we’ve seen and measured the room.

Full acoustic treatment versus modular panels

This is the most important decision in a home theater project, and it depends entirely on the room.

Full acoustic treatment is designed from scratch — bass traps in corners, broadband absorption on first-reflection points, diffusion on the back wall, treated ceiling, often a floated floor for serious dedicated rooms. Engineered for the specific room dimensions and speaker positions. The result sounds like a professional cinema: flat frequency response, no slap echo, no bass nulls in the seating row. Typically ₹5-6 lakhs for a dedicated 200-300 sqft theater room, 2-3 weeks of execution, and the room becomes a dedicated theater.

Modular acoustic panels are pre-fabricated absorption and diffusion panels — fabric-wrapped frames in colours you choose, sometimes decorative wood-slat panels — mounted to existing walls and ceiling. They target the same physics as add-on coverage rather than embedded construction. Typically ₹2-3 lakhs for a living-room-sized space, installed in 1-2 days, and the room still works as a living room when the theater isn’t in use.

Effectiveness depends on the room. A modest living room with good baseline shape can get 90% of full-treatment performance from well-placed modular panels. A challenging room — parallel walls, high ceilings, hard surfaces everywhere — sees a much bigger gap, sometimes only 50% as effective. We measure the room before recommending either, because the same panel package performs very differently across rooms.

Dedicated room versus living-room theater

A dedicated room is built for the job — light control, treatment, seating, all optimised, no compromises. A living-room theater shares the space with everyday life, which means the treatment has to look like furniture and the system has to be livable. Both are valid; the right one depends on whether you have a room to dedicate and what your AV budget supports. We can also phase it — modular treatment now, full retrofit later if you move to a dedicated room.

Projector versus large display

Projectors deliver the genuine cinema scale and are the right call for dedicated rooms with controlled light. Large displays are brighter, simpler, and better for living-room theaters where you can’t fully control ambient light. We recommend based on your room’s light conditions and how you’ll use it, and we design the screen or display placement around the seating and speaker layout.

Site visit and documented design

Home theater site visits are a paid, in-depth assessment — our specialist measures the room, evaluates acoustics, assesses light conditions, and plans speaker positions, then prepares a complete project document. Within 24-48 hours you receive a design with every component placed and every cost itemised. The site visit fee is adjusted against your final invoice if you proceed. See how we work for current site visit fees.

Calibration

Once installed, the system is calibrated — speaker levels, distances, crossover points, room correction — so what you hear matches what the design intended. An uncalibrated system, however good the components, is leaving performance on the table. Calibration is part of every Homezee home theater install.

Pricing

Home theater pricing spans a wide range because the room, the treatment, and the equipment tier all move independently. A living-room theater with modular treatment and a mid-range speaker package is a different project from a dedicated room with full acoustic treatment and reference speakers. The acoustic treatment alone is ₹2-3 lakhs modular or ₹5-6 lakhs full for a dedicated room. Exact pricing comes from the site visit, because the room assessment is what makes the quote real.

Warranty

Every installation comes with a 1-year comprehensive warranty covering equipment defects and installation faults. Manufacturer warranty on the AV hardware varies by brand. AMC contracts are available from year 2 for ongoing calibration checks and support.

What we don’t do

We don’t put premium speakers in untreated rooms. There’s no point in Revel or Triad speakers in a room with slap echo and bass nulls — the room is the most expensive component of the system even though it never shows on the invoice. And we don’t recommend the highest-margin brand by default; we recommend the speaker that’s right for your room and your content.
