What you get

Every install ships with a 1-year comprehensive warranty covering both equipment defects and installation faults. AMC contracts are available from year 2 onward.

How long it takes

Most 4-camera installations in 2BHK or 3BHK apartments complete in 4-6 hours on a single day. Villas with 4-6 cameras typically take 6-8 hours because outdoor cable runs are longer and weatherproofing requires more attention. Larger 8-camera systems or installations that need new conduit can extend to 2 days. Same-day installation is sometimes possible for straightforward CCTV jobs in central Bangalore pincodes when the site visit confirms scope.

Site visit and how we quote

Before we install anything, we run a paid site visit (₹500, approximately 1 hour) where our specialist assesses your space, measures cable run lengths, identifies power outlets, and documents camera positions. Within 24-48 hours of the visit, you receive a complete project document — every camera placed on your floor plan, every cable run estimated, every accessory listed, every cost broken down. The quote is the deliverable, not just a price.

The ₹500 fee is adjusted against your final invoice if you proceed with the installation.

We work this way because most CCTV installation problems come from vague scoping. A customer agrees to “4 cameras” verbally, then on install day discovers the outdoor cameras need a different cable type, or that the NVR they wanted doesn’t have enough channels, or that the storage size won’t actually deliver the retention they assumed. Proper documentation upfront catches all of this before any work begins.

Cameras and resolution

The 2MP / 4MP / 8MP choice depends on what you need to see. 2MP (1080p) is fine for indoor and general perimeter coverage — entry doors, corridors, general activity. 4MP is sharper for face recognition and reading vehicle number plates at gates and parking — our most-installed resolution for Bangalore homes. 8MP (4K) is for very long distances or large open spaces like compound entrances and parking lots. Higher resolution uses more storage, so we size the NVR accordingly during the design phase.

Cameras and NVRs we install

Honeywell — a global security brand and the premium tier choice, with an international reliability benchmark across residential and commercial installations.

Prama — professional-grade cameras and NVRs, the workhorse for serious installs. Prama is Hikvision’s India arm, carrying the same hardware engineering with local distribution and support.

CP Plus — a widely-deployed India mainstream brand, reliable and well-made, strong value for typical residential installs.

We recommend the right brand for your project at the site visit — based on your resolution requirements, indoor/outdoor mix, NVR channel count, and budget. Not the highest margin.

Wi-Fi versus PoE cameras

Wi-Fi cameras are faster to install (just need a power outlet nearby) but bandwidth-limited and prone to drops in larger homes, especially during Bangalore’s frequent micro-power-fluctuations and monsoon Wi-Fi interference. PoE (Power over Ethernet) cameras use a single Ethernet cable for both power and data — more reliable, no Wi-Fi congestion, slightly more cable work during installation.

For 4+ camera setups in Bangalore homes, we almost always recommend PoE. The reliability gain over a 5-year horizon is significant and worth the extra hours of cabling.

Recording retention and storage

Storage retention depends on hard drive size, number of cameras, and resolution. For a typical 4-camera 4MP setup with 1TB storage and motion-triggered recording, you get roughly 25-35 days of footage before the oldest is overwritten. We can configure continuous 24/7 recording (shorter retention) or motion-only (longer retention) during installation. Storage upgrades to 2TB-6TB are available if you need longer retention.

Outdoor coverage and monsoon protection

All our outdoor cameras are IP66 or IP67 rated for dust and water resistance. We use weatherproof junction boxes, UV-resistant cable jackets, and properly sealed wall penetrations. Cameras get mounted under eaves or with rain shields where the architecture allows. We’ve installed across Bangalore monsoons for years with no water-ingress callbacks — the IP rating matters less than installation discipline, and we’re particular about both.

Local network and internet

The NVR records to its hard drive whether or not you have internet — Internet is only needed for remote mobile-app viewing when you’re away from home. Local recording continues if your Wi-Fi or internet fails. Recordings made during the outage stay on the NVR and are viewable from the connected monitor on-site, or remotely once internet returns.

Mobile viewing

We configure the mobile app for every customer during installation. iOS and Android supported. You can view live feeds, play back recorded footage, get motion-detection alerts, and share access with family members. For multi-camera viewing on a single screen, we configure the app’s split-view mode during the handover walkthrough.

Pricing

A 4-camera HD CCTV system for a typical 3BHK Bangalore apartment — including cameras, 4-channel PoE NVR with 1TB storage, cabling, installation, mobile app setup, and 1-year warranty — typically runs in a mid-range that depends on camera resolution, indoor/outdoor mix, and cable run length. An 8-camera villa setup with weatherproof outdoor cameras and 2TB-4TB storage costs roughly 1.8-2.5x the 4-camera price.

Exact pricing comes from your site visit — we don’t quote blind. The site visit produces a fixed-price document with everything itemised so there are no surprises mid-install. All prices include 18% GST and a 1-year warranty.

Warranty and ongoing support

Every installation comes with a 1-year comprehensive warranty covering equipment defects, installation faults, and free replacement of failed cameras or NVRs. Manufacturer hardware warranty is typically 2-3 years depending on brand. After year 1, AMC contracts cover free service visits, free replacement of consumables (cables, mounts), priority response, and preventive checks twice a year.

If a camera stops working within warranty, we replace it free within 48 hours of you reporting the issue.

What we don’t do

We do not install no-name imported budget cameras that fail within 6-12 months. The cost of replacing a failed camera (call-back visit, dismantle, reinstall) is more than the savings on the cheaper unit — we’ve learned this from early installs and stopped quoting those brands.

We also do not undersize NVR storage to hit a lower headline price. The cost shows up later when recordings overwrite faster than the customer expected and important footage is gone. We size the storage to your actual retention needs at the design phase.
